"Brianna," Gina said hesitantly, looking over her lab assistant of a sister as the odd trance and glowing magical effects vanished her. "Are you okay?"
The half-werecheetah looked especially dizzy for a moment, stumbling about on weary legs before toppling to her knees.
"What just happened?" she asked.
"You were in some kind of trance," Gina said. "We got it on tape..."

"Like, what was in that drink?" Moisha asked clutching at her head.
"I don't think it was the drink," Lydia said, the shock of Moisha's sudden trance having sobered her quicker than her own regenerative factor. She was already writing down everything the other wererat had spoke.
"This is bad news, isn't it?" Romeo asked.

"Protect her," Thabian said. "We're not beasts."

"Sheila," Gar's voice said as the tiny jaguar felt herself waking up in the healer's hut. "Oh thank the Gods you're awake."
"Huh?" Shiela asked weakly. "We were talking about a festival and..."
"You were sent a foretelling," Onoli said. "Your birth defect almost caused it to kill you."
"A foretelling?" Sheila said. "Why would I be making any foretellings? Wait, foretellings are never good, what did I talk about."
"The return of Iceron," Onoli said.
