“YOU PATHETIC MISERABLE FOOLS!!! HOW COULD YOU HAVE LOST THE HATCHLING???!!!” The three goblins cowered back at the human priest dressed in dark robes. “We gave you everything! Tricked the gods into not interfering, covered your route with enough concealment spells that not even the high wizards could penetrate! AND YOU BUFFOONS LOOSE THE HATCHLING!!”
“There are hundreds of dragons...what’s one hatchling?” Whimpered one of the Goblins....
The priest paused and then glared. “One hatchling is nothing.... however this isn’t just ONE HATCHLING!! It took a hundred sacrifices to find this ‘hatchling’ the one of this generation kissed by Tiamet! And that is the one our MASTER NEEDS!! Look!”
The priest gestured and the darkroom they were in suddenly illuminated. All around the edge of the room frozen in place were various hatchling dragons. All of their bodies tortured and scared as there faces were frozen in horror. “We’ve already gotten the Metallic dragons blessed by Bahamut, and nearly all the chromatic’s kissed by Tiamet... EXCEPT THE BLACK DRAGON! Each generation of dragon has only ONE hatchling so blessed or kissed PER SPECIES!! Our Master needs all of them in order to complete the spell and make himself INVINCIBLE! And YOU MORONS AND YOUR PATHEITC LITTLE TRIB OF GRUB WORMS LOST THE LAST PIECE OF THE SPELL!!”
“It wasn’t our fault! We were attacked by a warrior...”
“No Ten Warriors!”
“They were a hundred strong! And they had magic! Powerful magic!”
“Yes. We were no match for them!! It wasn’t our fault!!”
The priest sneered at the three groveling Goblins. He opened his mouth to speak, when a side door opened and a large evil looking suit of black armor entered the room, the only sign that someone was inside the armor was two glowing red eyes peering out of the slit of the helmet. “You summoned me?”
The priest turned. “Ah Drakon.... Finally some COMPETENT Help.... Listen carefully... These imbeciles have lost our masters black dragon..... I don’t care how you do it... I don’t care if you have to search the four corners of this planet.... I don’t care what you do... just go out... AND FIND THAT DRAGON!!!!”
The armored figure bowed. “As you command.... so shall it be done.” With that the figure stood and strolled out of the room.
“And where do you think you three are going?” The priest commented without turning around, as the three goblins froze from there attempt to sneak off.
“Umm... we were.....just going to help search for the dragon.”
”Oh no... You’re not.” The priest commented, a slow evil smile crossing his hooded face. As he spoke, two giant doors to the side opened “You have another appointment.”
“We do?” One of the goblins questioned in a small voice.
“oh yes....” The priest’s eyes glittered darkly, as suddenly three arcs of pitch black lighting shot out of the opened doors. Each bolt striking one of the Goblins, who ere lifted into the air screaming in unholy torment. “Yes... our Master wishes to ... discuss... your failure....”
The priest began to laugh maniacally as the Goblins body’s writhed in torment above him, the magic keeping them alive through the unbearable torment. Slowly a figure began to appear from the dark recesses of the door, the black bolts of lightening coming from its hand. The figure stepped forward into the light to reveal....
