Her warrior could no longer carry her, as she was now a little over five feet in length and weighing about one hundred twenty pounds. Well, he could carry her but it would be difficult to do.
Some of her scales were still discolored, but not only had the balanced diet and care of her warrior caused her to fill out - she was now quite impressive in appearance. She was getting good exercise and spending time flying when she could. Those scales not permanently rough and discolored were coming in shiny black and glossy. Her teeth and claws gleamed and her eyes were far brighter than they'd been prior to leaving the goblins.
Tarre still didn't like the docks area though the smells were interesting. There were a lot of notgoblins about who stared and jabbered and pointed odd boxes in her direction.
It didn't take long before her warrior led her to a park though and she could submerge herself in it. Blessed darkness where she could swim around briefly, note the prey animals swimming above, and snatch one in her jaws to drag it down into the depths. This still wasn't her lair though so she had to eat it immediately instead of simply waiting for it to get tasty.
Finally she emerged over where her Ranmura had set up his sleeping arrangement. Good. There'd be little to bother her here. Other than that feather which had gotten lodged in between her teeth.
The next day saw her Ranmura talking to her in great detail. She was picking up the language slowly, but not sure about some of the details.
He seemed concerned and nervous about something. How odd. She'd thought her warrior fearless, but clearly something unpleasant was ahead of them.
"This is it," said her Ranmura.
Tarre considered the building with her yellow eyes briefly. Was this her lair then?
She followed her warrior inside, hissing at the gate trying to close on her.
