Now he could see in the boy something of his own problems with Titania. He could also see that doing the occasional good deed helped put his nastier moments of humor in greater perspective.
As to helping someone out of this situation, what best way to accomplish this?
"Milord," said a gremlin. "We have scanned these books of manga and have noted two concepts that appeal mightily. We could make the boy a cyborg or link him to some sentient armor, thereby making him more than he is now."
"Milords, miladies," said an old elf in a chef's hat, "why not make him an elf? We could make those fiancees of his nymphs and his rivals monsters."
"Twould be simpler," said a kauri, "to erase his memories of Nerima and his father. Then merely set him far from here where his life may yet turn out better."
"He has a tragic past," said a pixie. "Why not make of him a hero? A noble hero with a tragic past is fairly classic - and might only require a few nudges to set him along that path."
"He has a child's mind, and a cat's mind, and more," said a satyr, peering from behind his bifocals. "So let it be that his body is that of a child as well. Give him a better chance to start anew."
