"Stupid..," muttered Ranma as she finally went to sleep, a strange light glinting off of the pendant that she now wore. And she dreamed...
The beach was wide and pristine. Moonlight brushed the scene with soft fingers. A breeze flowed off the sea, carrying with it a fresh scent. Behind the beach stood the hotel, its structure a study in romantic elegence.
And only the two of them were on the beach.
She could feel the sand on her feet as she walked upon it. Her sundress flowed with the breeze, its fabric moulding and dancing with her form. A pair of shoes were in one hand, but the other was in his hand.
A glance out of the corner of her eye showed her the smile that was on Ryouga's face as they walked. She pressed herself into her side and gave a little sigh of bliss. It felt wonderful to feel hard muscled form of his against hers.
About the mid-way down the beach, he pulled her to a stop. Surprised, she gave him an inquiring llok. Ryouga just simply drew her into his arms. There she felt safe, with just the night air flowing around them as he held her.
She looked up at him and saw how the moonlight had softened any harshness in his handsome face. His eyes told of how exactly he felt for her. How essential she was to his heart. Her arms went around his body as she angled her head up towards his. He smiled at her and then lowered his lips towards hers.
Only centimeters separated them before they kissed...
Ranma shot up in her futon, wide awake. 'What the Hell was THAT?!' She'd had dreams about guys before, but either they were about her beating them in fights or nightmares. Not whatever that had been. And she had never considered doing THAT with Ryouga.
A look out the window showed the sun just hanging over the horizon. It was still early yet, but she wasn't sure that she wanted to go back to sleep. Another dream like the one she had just had might decide to appear. On the other hand, she could always go down to the dojo to practice. She could use it too, especially if she was going to be stuck in this body. And a heavy workout might help her to forget her dream...
In any case, she was glad that she had something to do that day, even if it was:
