In the meantime Yuri filled him in on what Aura's training should have included. Most of which was thrown out by Ranma as silly. Bouncing on her butt would make her tougher? Even if she were flying up a distance first - that seemed pretty much ridiculous. Even by the standards his father had established.
Well, maybe not entirely.
This whole thing about training in a single type of exercise five days and then giving your student the weekend off? Nope. That had to go too.
"When can I get a second monster?" Ranma asked as the second week came to a close. "I noticed that most of them trainers had two or three."
"Right now you've got one because you're licensed as a Class E Rancher. You've got to at least get Aura through the Official Cup for Class E to even be considered for upgrading your status," answered Yuri. "And there's your first problem. It'll take over a year to get a Pixie from being a 'One Hit Loss'."
"One hit and she'll lose?" Ranma interpreted, rewarded with a nod.
"I've seen a lot of battles," admitted Yuri. "It takes years of training to get any of the Pixie breeds I've seen to be a top contender. Usually they have to be combined several times to get their strength up."
"Qwee?" asked a worried Aura.
"Well, the first thing I need to do is get her into shape," said Ranma, musing. "I've been way too soft with her."
"QWEEE?!" Aura seemed to think otherwise.
"Yup, let's see. I think I know just the method," said Ranma, evil grin in place. He'd seen his father do things like this often enough.
"... qwee..." said Aura as she fainted.
"Was it something I said?" Ranma asked.
Time was relative. The rate between two different universes or even time periods within the same universe could be subject to change without notice.
Nabiki watched the Amazons part company. Shampoo faced exile or worse, and had chosen voluntary exile. Now she was heading to a Chinatown in Germany.
Cologne was heading back to the village with a duck in a cage. As she'd said, the least she could do was try to keep one problem out of Shampoo's life as long as she could. That way Shampoo had a chance of at least settling down before Mousse hunted her down to start hounding her again.
Ukyo had gone to Osaka to open a new Ucchan's there. She'd at least be busy and could rededicate herself to her work. That had been nearly two weeks ago.
Nabiki wondered if Ukyo had found any inner peace in a relatively normal neighborhood. She wondered if Shampoo could find happiness as an exile from her homeland.
The last she'd seen of Kodachi, the aristocrat was folding origami cranes and seemed content. She was certainly medicated enough.
Tatewaki was still around at least. She had to make money off of someone, after all. He was attacking the panda-demon to try to free Akane Tendo from her engagement to him and to bring back the pigtailed girl.
Two weeks until the divorce between Genma and Nodoka Saotome. So, two weeks and one day before the marriage of Akane Tendo and Genma Saotome would unite the schools at long last.
There were people who said that they made a lovely couple. There were people who learned not to say that where Akane could hear it.
Akane had looked better. She had gone through various stages as things had developed, denial and depression being the most frequent visitors.
One thing could bring it all back together, could rejuvenate her profit margins and bring back the chaos she'd loved watching from the sidelines. The problem was that Nabiki had yet to find some form of wish granting magic that had a chance of bringing Ranma back.
Now she had to get ready for college entry exams and could spare little time for seeking magical cures.
Maybe after she graduated.
