To say she had a conflict of loyalties would be one hell of an understatement. She was conflicted between her loyalty to her Clan, her Empire, and he beloved. She didn’t doubt that her Daimyo knew far more then was written is this letter, but at the same time, what was her beloved great secret.
She had to know what was going on. To betray her Daimyo, the very idea felt wrong, but if it was necessary to save the Empire, then she would do it, but she wouldn’t do it on blind faith alone. She had to find out the truth, and then she could make a decision, but not until then.
Kyoko stood up and took a deep breath to steady her spirit. She had to do what she had to do. For the Empire.
She quickly stood up and left to search fro her beloved.

Kyoko sighed as she look before her: the wall of the Crab, and the supposed location of her love.
Taking a deep breath, she began to walk up the trail to the embattlements.
“Halt!” growled a low base voice behind her.
Kyoko tuned to look eye to chest with a large armored Hida samurai guard.
“What business do you have on the wall so close to battle?” he growled.
The Scorpion looked up into his eyes. “I must speak with Hida Ranma.”
The old warrior laughed. “Girl, the only way you are getting onto that wall now is if you plan to stand the line. I will not have you getting in the way.”
