Ranma nodded resolutely. "I ain't about ta let anybody get stuck in that sorta place if I can avoid it."

"But you do realise that doing so will place her at your command, and that she will never be able to leave you."

"Well, gettin' a little wierd stuff every so often ain't as bad as goin' nuts like that."

The clerk looked bemused by something, but kept it to himself. "This is a great responsibility, you realise."

"Yeah, but I'm not about ta run from it. 'Sides, if I ain't gonna give someone a second chance, who is."

"I see. And you have no problems with taking this woman to be a genie for yourself?"

"Sure, I've got problems with that, but none that's gonna make me stop wantin' ta help her. But I do got a question."

"Yes?"

"What kinda genie would she be?"

"Ah..," the clerk said, "With this she would become a genie:

• guardian. A fighter and protector, with powers to defend you against enemies and opponents."
• advisor, someone to give you advice one what you should do about things."
• with only beginning magic. Only relatively small things, like a meal, clothing, or a car."
• with her powers developing depending on how she grew into them."
• with the power of Order magic at her control."
• something else."
