[Episode 82742] [Episode 82742]Shinji heard the door open, though the sounds of zipper and cloth were lost in the shower's water noise. But from the size of the figure, he could tell who it was; Misato was taller than that. This would be interesting.
Taking her courage in both hands, Asuka stepped into the tub, looking at Shinji's back and started rethinking her opinion of him. He was skinny, yeah, but what he had seemed to be decently toned. Maybe in a year or two he'd be decently handsome.
Shinji, not looking behind him yet, reached back with the soap. "Would you mind doing my back?" and felt Asuka's hand fumbling with the bar. He smirked as he imagined the look on her face, no doubt she was looking like someone had just smacked her in the back of the head with a board.
That in fact was a very good description of Asuka's mental state. What was going *on* here? She was naked, Shinji was naked, they were in a shower together, and he barely seemed to notice. Why wasn't he babbling apologies or something? How could he just calmly pass back the soap and ask her to soap his back? She started to do so just out of force of courtesy, then froze. She wasn't Shinji's servant, she was an elite pilot! She pushed the cake back into his hand, "Do it yourself!"
He nodded slightly, and started to do just that, stretching and flexing as he did, thoroughly amazing Asuka with his flexibility. Then he turned around to rinse off, and looked her over, smiling a bit as she tried to cover up. "I was right," he said, "you are very pretty."
By now, Asuka saw with extremely mixed feelings, Shinji was visibly excited. This wasn't working, not anything like what she'd planned. She coludn't stay, he might... do things. But to back down now would be sheer cowardice, she couldn't just run. How did she get herself into this? Shinji was standing there, not making a move, just standing there with the water running over him, tracing the contours of his stomach, his chest, his... No. That was a bad thing to think about.
For himself, Shinji was just enjoying the situation on several levels. Most obviously, Asuka was a very pretty girl, and looking at her in the nude was very enjoyable. And he did get a certain amount of satisfaction out of her discomfort, after the way she'd treated him before. The term "animated turnip" came immediately to mind. And of course it was great being able to watch her without panicking and assuming himself to be somehow at fault.
Finally, Asuka managed to shift her hand a little, so that she had both over her sex, and looked up at his face. In a quavering, hesitant attempt at her usual brash manner, she managed to get out "So are you just going to look?"
