The blue one and the one with the Norse rune kind of thing going.
Having been told about the need for powerful monsters because there were powerful monsters in those mountains did not concern him. The idea he'd need something that could fly was another matter altogether. He'd been in mountains before where there had been steep walls, large chasms, and other hazards to navigation. THOSE kind of problems he could see bringing along something to deal with.
On entering the shrine he found that this was another old man. He wondered if that was a job requirement. "Hey, yo!"
"Yo, yourself, young feller-me-lad," said the old man. "What be bringing yourself down my path this day?"
"Anyway I can find out if there's a flier on one of these disc thingies? I need to go to the mountains and I was told I'd need a flier."
The old man pursed his lips and considered. "Appraise 'em? Nay lad. These are a different kind. Only way I could tell is to regenerate the beastie inside. All I can tell you is what kind of disc they are."
"Oh?" Ranma asked. "So what are they?"
"This is a Beast Stone," said the old man, indicating the blue one. "This other I'm not as sure of. Perhaps an Artificial Stone."
"Uh huh," said Ranma, nodding. "I thought so." That he had absolutely no idea what this guy was talking about was not something he was going to admit. "In that case gimmee whatever's in the "
