Symbiont Arkangel: Mercury's dilemma [Episode 83079]

by Kestral

The enemy units had been subdued. Life signs stable. Need to stop potential hostiles balanced with information about possible heroes.

Insufficient information.

Arkangel located the nodes of power and removed them in a quick efficient manner. Most were stored in subspace.

There was a strong etheric connection to those items with the individuals they'd come off of. Completely severing those ties would likely kill the individual. Unacceptable.

Arkangel placed each item into contact with its substance. The items were absorbed and analysis of their structure intensified.

That left procuring information from one of the units. One that had not attacked might be more receptive to communication inquiries than one that had attacked.

Selection made.

Ami slowly woke up, feeling as if she'd just gotten hit by a - ?!

She came the rest of the way awake with a startled squeak. She was in her room at home? In her civilian ID? Where was her henshin pen?!

"-interesting - that's - juku."

Ami heard the voice coming from the front of the apartment. She spent a few fruitless moments looking for her communicator.

"-heroes - but scandalous - need better armor."

Finally Ami found one of the old communicators and hit the panic button. Then she slowly crept out to find that the angel-youma -

was sitting down in a chair across from her mother having a quiet talk?!

WITH THE MERCURY COMPUTER OPEN IN BETWEEN THEM?!

Ami ducked back behind the wall, feeling her heartbeat racing along. Also this peculiar queasy sensation in her stomach.
