"Ouch!"
Tennou Haruka, Hufflepuff Quidditch Team Captain was not having a especially good day. At all.
"Oh Haruka. Are you all right?"
Ahh, Michiru. A bastion of sanity, or at least a passably good subsitute of such.
"Not really. Are you?"
She'd been so happy when her many-times-cousin and friend had offered to "help out" with the Worst Team In Hogwarts, those few years ago. And together, (quite literally, since the musical-chairs ever-changing Teachers in charge of the Team were quite often more of a obstacle than any opposing team), with Haruka as Captain and Michiru as all-around de-facto Maneger and Strategist, they'd managed to build the Hufflepuff Team up to a level unheard of for generations.
But when things like this happened ---
"Likewise. All our team members are all right, except for some minor hexs that got stuck. Actually, everyone in Hufflepuff seems to have been quite lucky, no major injuries at all. But---our brooms are---well. They won't need to be replaced, I don't think, but---"
"Well. Darn. I wish we were better at Re-Tuning and stuff."
"Well, so do I, but we can't avoid to have them Re-Tuned proffesionaly, so we'll just have to cope."
Re-Tuning magical artifacts gone whacky was not all that easy, even if it was something as ordinary as a flying broom, after all...
"I know, I know. Who's fault was that---shockwave thing, anyway? Everybody seems to think it's Potter and Black again, but---"
"I know. I have no idea, actually. Even Potter's clique should know better than to do anything like that on purpose, so---"
"On the other hand, this is Potter and Black. We'll know more in the morning, I hope. ---Where's Snape and Pettigrew, by the way? I want their opinions on those brooms---"
Michiru blinked. She hadn't seen those two since right after the shockwave, now that she came to think about it...
