The odd thing was that they weren't used to seeing it like this.
"Ummm... where did those dark clouds come from?" Ranma asked as he looked over the school.
"Who knows..," Nabiki told him, "but we're not here to check out the weather."
"I know... It just seems wierd, ya know?"
"Yes, I do. Still, we have to see how the current Headmaster is doing, okay?"
The pigtailed boy nodded, and led the way throught the darkened corridors to the the office, with his loyal doggirl walking right behind him. It was creepy doing so, but they went easily and made it with in a quick amount of time.
Only to find the room empty, save of palm trees and a really big painting on the wall.
Akane peered up at the image and frowned. "Ruu ris rat?"
"Oh dear, that's the picture of the old headmaster," Kasumi murmured.
"Rit ris?"
"Yes, it is. When I was in school, we always used to wonder how it stayed up since he was gone. Some of the others thought that they kept on trying to take it down, but that his spirit kept on putting it back up. But that's just silly."
"Well, it's back up," Nabiki commented as she looked over the image of the balding figure. "I wonder if that is how he looks now?"
"Why don't you vandals just look?" came from behind her.
"Thanks Ranma, but I think that I'll wait until we have more clues."
"Err... Nabiki?" went the martial artist.
"Yes?"
"I'm standin' over here."
The shorter haired of the two Tendo sisters looked at the young man as he waved from in front of her. "Then who said that?"
"He did," Ranma told her as he pointed.
She turned and looked to find a hulking figure in a three piece suit that seemed to glow in the dark. His receeding hairline did not lessen the air of menace as he leaned over and glared at her. And in his hand was a rather large ruler that he was smacking onto the palm of the other.
"Breaking into the school after hours?! And none of you are in your uniforms!" barked what was obviously the ghost, "What do you have to say for yourselves?!"
"Actually, Nabiki and I only go to school," Ranma put in, "Kasumi's graduated and Akane's my pet..."
"Not only do you break two sets of rules, but you bring a pet onto school property?!"
"Uhh..."
"In my office yet! You must be punished!" the ghost yelled, "Eraser Barrage!"
It was for only a moment, but Ranma stared at the cluster of blackboard erasers heading for his head. But he recovered quickly and ducked out of the way as they hit the wall in a series of puffs of chalk smoke.
"Ruler Crack!"
That one nearly tagged Nabiki, who covered her bottom with both hands as she scooted out of the way.
"Grr..," growled the former headmaster, while:
