"A goddess!?" everyone screamed.
"Yes, a goddess" confirmed the sphere or aasimon as it called itself "Amaterasu Omikami-sama has been fond of this love story in that other timeline where this nice boy wished for a goddess to stay with him forever..."
"I'm engaged ta some kinda goddess!?" said Ranma, a little alarmed. His only experience with divinity had been Saffron, not the most pleasant representative of godhood around "Er... I'm really not sure about this..."
"Never!" declared a miraculously recovered Tatewaki Kuno "The foul sorcerer and lowborn cur Saotome cannot be worthy of becoming a fair and magnificent kami's bethrothed! Only I, Tatewaki Kuno, a true samurai, can pretend to such an honor! Surely Amaterasu-sama made a mistake!"
FWOOM!
The even more charred than the first time Kuno collapsed in a heap after another divine strike. This time, Nabiki had been clever enough to back away from him as soon as he had stood up again.
Ryoga was similarly incensed "RANMA! How can you do this to poor Akane!? She's the only true goddess here!" Everybody looked at him funnily. The lost boy laughed sheepishly. Akane thought it was nice of him to ddefend her claim even if she didn't want to marry that baka!
Undettered, the sphere spoke again "As I said earlier, she will be able to involve you in something greater than your usual battles. She can also help you find a cure for your curse if not dispelling it on her own. Most of all, she's nice, willing to listen to you and very helpful, as you wished!"
"Ah, but the question is who is the goddess now engaged to Ranma?" asked Cologne, still perched on Ranma's head.
"Of course, Ranma Saotome has been engaged by divine decree of Amaterasu Omikami to..."
