SEELE 04 was a veteran of the international espionage scene. He was intimately familiar with all its rules and procedures. He had survived and prospered through World War Two, the Cold War, the Fall of Communism and the post-Second Impact world. Subversion, manipulation, corruption and assassination were weapons he had used and was still using even now.
But this time, the stakes were much higher than maintaining the domination of a superpower in international politics. Indeed, it was his and the other members of SEELE's bid for godhood which was on the line. The Scenario had to be protected at all costs.
Female agents had always been a favorite of his. Except in a few rare cases (when the target was either homosexual, impotent or a pedophile), the 'temptresses' always got what he sought. Surely an inexperienced boy in a man's body would be an easy mark for one of his 'girls'. A poor virgin lamb ready to be devoured by a she-wolf...
There was still the problem of NERV's section 2 and Gendo Ikari. They weren't fools and he surmised that they must have taken steps to protect the Third Child from such initiatives. He would have to choose his agent carefully for her to pass under their radar. In fact, this could be turned to SEELE's advantage. The forbidden fruit of a relationship his hated father did not approve should be a powerful incentive for the Third Child to run into their clutches.
Men talk in bed. An old truth SEELE 04 wanted to take advantage of. Shinji Ikari would not prove any different. After seeing his file and psychological profile, he was sure that he would be eating out of his agent's hand in no time. The boy was obviously starved for any scrap of affection he could get his hands on.
