But then she had to stand up.
"No, fool!" Spider-Rose shouted. "Stay there, sit!"
But the dazed and panicked girl was already losing her balance on the shifting stone under feet. She tipped forward, arms cartwheeling and started a downward fall. Spider-Rose gathered herself for a leap, but it was unnecessary as, with a cry of "Mary Jane" Spider Man caught the girl in mid-fall and swung away from her.

Peter barely spared a glance over his shoulder for the female spider. Even considering his desire to find and speak to her, it wasn't near as important as getting Mary Jane to safety.

Kodachi set herself down on the cathedral rooftop as she removed the gloves and feet of the costume, preparing to put her kimono back in place.
She looked to her arm and gingerly touched the wound. She was lucky, the bullet had merely grazed along the outside of her arm, scoring a thick line across her arm.
There were also bruises to be concerned about, some bone deep. She'd had similar injuries over the course of martial arts and gymnastics training and she knew how to deal with them. Recently she'd found herself healing somewhat faster than normal, a benefit of the improved metabolism she assumed.
In any case, she wasn't worried about the wounds so much as she was worried about people matching the wounds to the battle. Shouldn't be too much difficulty still, and she had important clue as to the Spider-Man's identity. Apparently, he knew that girl that he had rescued.
She slipped down into an alley and pulled the kimono on and filtered into the crowd, now exalting in the Spiders' victory. It made her feel a little lighter somehow, but it wouldn't last and she knew it. By tomorrow there would be articles in the paper proclaiming them both as menaces.
