"Uhm, yeah," said Ranma. "You're Crown Prince Norihito, ain't ya?"
"That's right," said the prince. "Well, this is certainly an unusual situation, but I understand you've been in a few of those."
"You could say that," agreed Ranma.
An awkward silence developed as Ranma tried to figure out what to say to the EMPEROR (or at least Prince) and Norihito tried to figure out what to say to someone of considerably less education and no political upbringing at all.
"Oh heck, who the heck's that?" Ranma asked, staring.
"This... could be a problem," said Norihito.
Nabiki had sold the information. Why not? Nothing bad ever happened to her when she did so. Just another weirdo, right?
Okay, she'd never been burned to blackened skeleton levels and resurrected before, but that just meant the goddess owed her one anyway, right?
The word had gone out and people had largely dismissed it. Not all though. Not nearly all.
The beautiful pristine image of Crystal Tokyo - future hope of mankind, a world without want, a world without sin or crime or any worship save the queen - had just vanished.

"Uhm, you two do realize that you're standing up there in really short skirts?" pointed out Ranma.
The two girls stared at Ranma, either not understanding his point or else their groove had just been jeapordized by the completely atypical response to their appearance.
"Oh my," said a goddess with long brown hair. "Are you here for the party? My name is Hestia, goddess second class limited license. I don't recognize either of you."
"I'm not even familiar with their pantheon," said a purple cartoonish being with eight arms - two of which were in place of his legs as he faded into existence where he'd been painting the torii. "Pico, god third class of paint and drywall, limited license. You might want to move, I've got to get the top of these next."
Uranus and Neptune blinked and looked at each other, this response being unlike what they'd expected.
"So, Ranma-kun, Norihito-kun," said Hestia, turning a slightly ditzy smile and bow their way. "Come join the party. You really should try my nachos - I've gotten lots of compliments on them."
Neptune and Uranus looked at the nearly human "Dark Generals" and the various minor kami/nonhumanoid beings milling around and rebuilding a fairly sizable temple/base and decided:
