New Job: On the verge of a double date [Episode 85088]

"It's not a date, I'm just doing a favor for a coworker! . . . Don't worry." Ranma hung up the phone and sighed shaking her head.

"Going out?" A male voice asked just behind her.

With a start, Ranma pivoted, and looked at her boss who was standing behind her.

"Sorry, I don't mean to pry, I just overheard the tail end of the conversation. Anything I can do to help? If you need some extra cash I can give you a loan and take it off your next paycheck."

"No no, I'm just tagging along with Rei and her boyfriend to keep his friend out of their hair."

"Ah, Rei and Daishi!" the Boss commented with a grin. "Their back together again, I take it?"

"Um, together?"

"Well the fact is, Rei and Daishi have been going out for a few years now, but every few months they start arguing their heads off, proclaiming that their breaking up and don't want to see each other again. Then about a week later their back together like nothing happened." He shrugged. "Well they say all passionate couples fight."

"Ah, so they just finished one of that fighting things?"

"Indeed. . . Ah Rei!" he called, waving to the other girl.

"Boss! Ah, if your looking for surprise overtime. . ."

"Oh, no no no! Ranko mentioned your date and I was just seeing what I could do to make it a night to remember!" He pursed his lips, looking thoughtful for a moment. "If you want, we've got three unreserved rooms tonight."

"Really? Well, maybe toward the end. Still, beyond that, I think we've got everything taken care of."

"Rooms?" Ranma asked uncertainly.

"Oh, you see the club has six back rooms, their large, soundproofed, have a fully stocked bar, dumbwaiter access from the kitchen, Karaoke machines and such. Their available only by reservation to customers, but if their not reserved, I make it a point to let the employees use them. You have to restock the bar, but that's it." He grinned and shrugged his shoulders. "Happy employees are worth it."

"That's for later anyways." Rei commented as she grabbed Ranma's arm, and started pulling her toward the door.
