" Coffee?"
Gina blinked as a her favotire mug was in front of her nose, allowing her to inhale the sweet aroma of Jamaca Blue Mountain coffee her favorite blend, with sugar and cream and a pinch of honey her favorite add-ons to her coffee. Gina's head turned to the source of hand hand holding the mug, and found herself looking at a smiling Japanese guy with black hair and a pigtail.
Smiling she accepted the coffee. " Thank you Ranma, you seem to be reading my mind this morning." She inhaled the rich arouma before taking a long sip. ' Ahh prepared to perfection, you're a sweetie you know that?"
" Your welcome Gina..so we still up on the expedition to find that alien ship your instruments discovered?" Ranma asked as they began walking toward the elevator to the kitchen. (they were in Gina's second bedroom closeto the labs than her regular one in the house)
" Yeah, if it has a hyperdrive or ANYTHING that would help us get or aide on us Aebra its worth checking out." Gina answered, she then looked at Ranma. " You know Ranma, you don't HAVE to go to Aebra with us."
Ranma held up a hand. " Gina I ain't backing out. Stripe went to go save his people, and he's our friend and we gotta help him. Ranma Saotome does NOT leave friends hanging when they need help. Sides I've been committed to this since we found it El Dorado was gone."
Gina had smile, the 20 year old Martial Artist had been a God-send in alot of ways. Gina never knew the kid in the ratty gi she and Britanny befriended as kids when their Father was on a trip in Japan would earn them a friend for life. Ever since they ran into him again 3..almsot 4 years ago, right before the Dreadwing incident, he'd been helping them in their treasure hunts, and bad-guy busting on and off whenever he could get away from Nerima.
" How'd you sleep last night?"
Ranma groaned. " Surpised I got any with Brianna and Genn in the next room...god they make a racket.."
Gina patted his shoulder. " You have my sympathy. So is everyone who's going ready?"
" Yep, Seance & Ryan are packing up the Gina Mobiles we're taking, Britanny & Brianna are packing the lunches, and Genn is checking over the maps again."
" Ugh...Mondays..the one day of the week everybody else gets up before me.." Gina groaned.
" It happens Gina. Let'sjust hope that that ship Penny & the Atlantians are building does its share of the work incase our find turns up crap." Ranma said in a dismissive gesture, thattold her it was no big deal she slept in.
" Let's hope so....I don't think Britanny could stand it if we couldn't get to Aebra and Stripe."
"Yeah...poor Brit.."
Gina eyed Ranma out of the corner of her eyes. "...Poor guy still has a crush on her.." She thought.
As hard as it is to grasp, Ranma Saotome like the Jagwere Gar, was smitten hard by Britanny Diggers..but kept his mouth shut about it. While some wonder why her Cat-like appearance didn't freak him out, for some reason her hybrid form never made him even shiver.
When Britanny & Stripe started to court, he tried to bury his feelings, kept on telling himself he had enough trouble juggling his 'fiancees' as it were. But no matter how HARD he tried...Britanny kept popping up in his mind.
And when she and Stripe got engaged....lets just say Brianna wasn't the only heart-broken one when it was announced. (We can assume the Gar & the other Edge Guard members don't know about that yet.)
With his own failed wedding under his belt, and the fiancee mess still unresolved (because the girls refuse to leave him alone, and the two idiot fathers won't let up on the engagement) and was just getting worse.
When he heard Stripe ran off to Aebra....Ranma felt a small bit of joy that he left...but soon hated himself for even having a shred of that train-of-thought once Britanny started crying. After all Stripe didn't run out on Britanny, he went to go save his people who were undersiege by an ancient evil, and that was a noble cause, and gave Ranma the incentive to help the Digger sister in their cause to get to Aebra.
Little did he....nor the others know what lay ahead...
