Golden Destinies: Vr. 3: Tracking Down a Terror [Episode 89628]

Ranma grabbed Carfax the messenger and spoke to him. "Boy, you better know what I want right now or I'll toss you out of this tower." Carfax nodded quickly. "Fine. Do you know where I can find this Fauntleroy guy?"

Theo, the girls, Gniess and Julia all watched Ranma threaten the messenger, all a bit scared that he would actually hurt him. Well, Britanny was just afraid that her daddy was going to play with the funny dressed man and not with her.

"WELL?!" Ranma growled a bit.

"I-I hear that he's near Witch's Heap. Though he may have move."

Ranma raised an eyebrow and tossed the messenger into the wall behind him. "Witch's Heap?" He turned to Gniess who was standing behind his desk. "Hey old man, where's Witch's Heap from here?"

The older man, though he still had color in his beard and hair, blinked at the young man. "Surely you're not thinking of going after Fauntleroy. That Dragon is a scourge to all of Jade, even though he is young, he is fully grown and holds a low opinion of people, Werecats and other species. He's dangerous, and not only that, but he has fifty wives, most of whom are Dragons themselves."

Ranma blinked, shook his head and frowned. "How the hell can a guy have fifty wives? There's no way to make them all happy is there?"

Theo spoke up as he hugged Gina. "He's a Dragon. I don't know much about their laws and such, but I know that Dragons can take as many mates as they so choose to."

Gina, in her dad's arms, looked at Theo. "Daddy? What's a mate?"

Theo coughed a bit. "Ask me in about ten years okay?"

Gina nodded and made a mental note to do so.

Julia rolled her eyes and scoffed. People from Earth were SO wimpy.

Ranma shook his head and made towards the door. "Be that as it may, I'm still going to take him apart. This is all his fault after all."

Gniess sighed, seeing how the young man wouldn't stop in this endevor. "Very well. But let me give you some information about him." Ranma nodded and waited. "Fauntleroy is a fifty foot golden Dragon. He's known as the questing Dragon because, to appease his wanderlust, he travels into castles and towns and battles knights and kings rather than going into dungeouns and caverns to battle Goblins and Ghouls. It's rumored that he wants to build an empire solely for Dragons and no human would be around. He may be young, but he's VERY powerful."

Ranma nodded. "Okay, so a fifty foot Dragon then? What color is he?"

Gniess sighed, seeing that the man wouldn't change his ways. "He's gold. He has fifty wives, most of which are full Dragons themselves. He rarely, if ever, goes into his human form, so I can't really help you there."

Ranma nodded. "Anything else?"

"Daddy?"

Ranma turned to see Britanny looking at him curiously. "Yes Britanny?"

"Can I come with you?"

Ranma sighed, walked over to the young girl, knelt down and placed his hands on her shoulders. "You want to take out that meanie too huh?" The young girl nodded and Ranma smirked. "Sorry, this time you'll have to sit out. Daddy has to make sure that you're safe and I can't do that when you're there okay?"

"But why?"

"Well, I suppose Fauntleroy would grab you and eat you." Britanny's eyes widened. "But he can't eat me like that. So you stay with uncle Theo okay?"

Britanny nodded quickly. "Okay daddy."

Ranma smiled, stood up and looked at Gniess. "Like I said, anything else I should know?"

Gniess snapped his fingers. "It's not much, but he has a sword strapped across his back most of the time. And if you ask for Fauntleroy, he won't hesitate to give out his name."

"Arrogant isn't he?" Ranma had toned down his arrogance a lot over the years, having to raise a baby girl can do that to a person.

Gniess shrugged. "I suppose. But all Dragons suffer from that." He stroked his beard and then motioned for everyone to leave. "I can teleport you to the Eastern end of the Spine Mountains, then all you have to do is go East for an hour at most until you get to Witch Heap."

Ranma nodded as he, the girls, Theo and Gniess walked down a spiral staircase down to the bottom. "Fine. But hurry it up."

Theo then spoke up as the group got a bit further down the tower. "I'll take the girls home. And Julia, I know I can't see you, but I hope that we find a cure for you soon."

Julia smiled a bit as she walked behind the group. At least they knew that she wasn't dead, and she could still communicate through letters until this blasted curse was dealt with.

When they got to the bottom of the tower, which only had a door or two to different rooms, a door to the outside and a symbol on the floor, which looked like a golden diamond.

Gniess pointed to the symbol. "Stand there and I'll send you off."

Ranma nodded, picked up Britanny, gave her a quick hug and kiss. "Now you be a good girl for Uncle Theo okay?"

Britanny nodded. "Okay daddy."

Ranma smiled and put her down. He then walked onto the sphere. "Ready."

Gniess nodded and began the teleport spell. When he was finished, Ranma was gone. 'Just be careful you idiot.'

Ranma blinked as he looked around, to his right was a bunch of mountains, to his left was an open plane that went on as far as he could see. Ranma tapped his chin. 'Now then, the old man said that Witch Heap was straight East of the Eastern end of the mountains. He turned so that his back was facing the mountains. 'Guess this is the way to go then.' He smirked as he shifted to hybrid form, muscles expanding, hieght increasing, bones shifting as he completed his transformation.

He squeezed his fist and looked towards the East. 'Fauntleroy, I sure hope that you've got your wives around for your sake... Otherwise I'll take you apart.'
