Damn Wiseman anyway. Until then that version of Crystal Tokyo was only a distant possibility. Once they'd validated it by bypassing the Time Gates, it was locked. Now it had to happen to avoid a major causal discontinuity.
Except that a glimpse at the strands of future indicated that something else had changed. Something even worse was menacing her precious timeline, making things turn horribly wrong in a way that left Pluto gape-mouthed in horror.
She quickly found the culprit, who hadn't concealed all of his tracks sufficiently well that an experienced eye couldn't put the trail together. Lots of power, but his arrogance had left his identity open.
He was a menace to time, to space, and to good taste.
He was a threat to life, society, and sanity.
He was a teenage boy, a nerd, and a pervert.
His name was Ernie Piatzo.
An attempt to see past the interference to what became of Crystal Tokyo with his input took considerable effort from Pluto, and when it was done she only was able to find brief glimpses into the new future.
At which point she went to her toilet and was very loudly and sincerely ill.
She'd found a worse future than the one where the robosenshi were Ranma's harem, and she hadn't even had to go looking for it.
All it had taken was one thread of the paradox storm, giving the boy a basic insight that allowed him to formulate a working unified theory of space/time/magic. From that it had bloomed into a menace beyond anything she'd seen before. Ernie LIKED humiliating and hurting others. Ernie was sickly twisted in a way that none of the other enemies had ever been. Ernie was completely amoral - if he could get away with it he saw no reason not to do it.
And she'd just handed him the keys to making his darkest fantasies reality. With his working Weird Science devices manipulating reality, he could do almost anything.
Even as she watched, the timeline locked up more. If she went to the Now of the Senshi, she had a chance of beating him. Otherwise she'd have to get used to having feathers and cooing and chirping for him when he learned that the Senshi were real. Until he tired of having a set of breedable mindwiped pets and got more "creative".
