If he won, the living would envy the dead.
Going into his past and assassinating him wouldn't work, not with the way time travel was going right now.
If she won, everything would be fine. If she lost, there wasn't much chance for anyone and none at all if they didn't move immediately.
So she left a message behind. If everything went well, then she could return back and destroy the note before anything happened. If not, the sailor communicators would begin playing her pre-recorded message. Their only chance would be to heed her advice and leave immediately, going somewhere unexpected and hiding. They could bide their time and maybe strike later. Stick around long enough to pack and it would very likely be too late.
Well, there was one more chance. Ernie could so stress reality that it imploded and they all ceased to exist. Preferable to what she'd glimpsed.
At this point Pluto almost laughed. If it were possible to snap her fingers and have it back to where a good portion of the Senshi were a harem belonging to Ranma Saotome - she would without regret. MUCH better than what she was facing as a distinct possibility.
Pluto took a deep breath and recorded her message.
"If you are receiving this message, I have failed and you are in danger to your very souls. Don't bother to pack. Don't bother contacting the others. Don't stick around to warn your family. It'll be too late by then. Run. Run and hide where nobody who knows you would find you. This enemy is not subtle and you'll know in a few days if he's still alive. If you hear me again on the communicators, don't trust anything I say. This is an enemy who can break minds and rebuild your own family into soulless monsters who hunger for your flesh and worse."Run now. Don't do anything that can be traced. And... I'm sorry."
That complete, Sailor Pluto vanished to reappear across the world where she could take careful aim. "dead scream."
