Oddly, he came to a Kuno home that was silent. "Hello?" he called out, "Anybody here?" No answer came and that disturbed him. quiet was good, but silence wasn't. At the very least, Kodachi should have come to 'greet' him. The simple fact that she hadn't spoke volumes.
Slowly, he made his way to a basement of the mansion. Dark brick walls framed a wide, cold room where the only decorations were things that he wasn't sure that he wanted to know about.
Rounding a table, he finally found the two pet in a corner. They were huddled together in sleep, with the obvious marks of physical blows of some kind adorning their bodies.
Of Kodachi, there was no sign.
Poking Shampoo in the shoulder, he said "Hey, wake up. It's me."
Bleary eyes opened and focused in on him. "Master?"
"Ummm... yeah, that's me," Ranma said, retraining a flinch.
"Master!"
"What? Huh?" Ukyo mumbled, "Master?!"
The two petgirls glomped onto him as he tried to brace their weight. All together they started sobbing about pain, canes and other things. Whatever that meant was left to the mumbles and he couldn't make out what exactly they were saying.
Spotting a piece of paper on the table that he had missed before, he reached out and grabbed it. It turned out to be a letter to him.
Dear Mister Saotome,
This letter is to inform you as to the changes in your contract with one Kodachi Kuno and this company. Due to an incident that violates the owner's agreement, Miss Kuno's co-ownership of the three pets (Akane, Shampoo, Ukyo) has been revoked. As per agreements made at the time of purchase, Miss Kuno will now be transformed into a pet at the earliest possible convience. This also results in your gaining full ownership of said pets at no cost to you. You will also be offered the first chance of purchasing Miss Kuno once she is transfurred. If you choose to do so, please be advised that her fortune will be included in the deal, and as such, she may be able to pay for herself.

Ranma read the letter several times over and frowned. He wasn't too sure that he wanted to own Kodachi, but then again he wasn't against it. First thing though was to take care of Ukyo and Shampoo, and the best way that he could think of to do that was to:
