Akane was a dog girl. Shampoo a skunk girl. Ukyo a bunnygirl. All three were his pets and getting along better than he'd ever seen them.
Frankly if he could return them to normal but keep that last aspect, he would in a heartbeat.
This he was slowly adapting to. Slowly. It was a good thing he didn't have allergies.
Being excluded from a conversation that all three were having with the girl at the counter of Furries 4 U was something different altogether.
"You don't say? Not a clue?" The clerk turned an obviously pitying gaze towards Ranma before returning to the quieter buzz of conversation.
What neither Ranma nor the girls knew was that Kodachi was not the only one in the back room being adjusted.
The clerk finished feeding the mermaid and checking the other stalls. Some strange goings on around here. Perhaps the Nerima branch of Furries 4 U wasn't as well placed. Even in a similar line of work, that Needful Things store gave him the creeps.
"Hi, we're about to close but you're certainly welcome to look around... a panda?" The clerk stared for a moment before realizing this was another Jusenkyo curse. Odd how the curse always reflected something of the person cursed. He'd have to look into it at some point - there could be something that could be adapted into the transfurmation process.
"Never mind that," growled a middle aged man as he stalked forward. "What are you going to do about my little girl?"
The clerk helpfully pointed to the very small but still readable sign that proclaimed that people assaulting him would become merchandise. He might have just let it go on, but he was tired and it had been a long day and he only had fifteen minutes to go.
The man and the panda ignored the sign.
"I demand you do something about this at once!" The middle aged man yelled.
[At once!] A sign wielded by the panda proclaimed.
"Like the other sign says: 'no refunds.' Which girl was it anyway?" The clerk reached for a pack of Rolaids. Maybe there was something in the water. Everyone in Nerima seemed to be so terribly confrontational.
"How dare you feign ignorance!" ranted the middle aged man.
[Akane Tendo] read the panda sign.
Nodding the clerk took out the piece of paper. "As you can see, she signed it herself."
Soun ripped the offending paper up and used his Demon Head Of Outrage to intimidate the clerk. He was used to getting his way, after all.
The clerk sighed as the two vanished and began their processing. Destruction of store property, never mind that the document had already been scanned and was on the computer, and attacking him with a prescence attack. Oh well. Hmmm. Market for a panda. Oh, and the door was still open. Better close it before.
"Sweet oh!"
Something blew in.
The mermaid shrieked as something grabbed her chest, though she dove to the bottom of her tank immediately.
A little old man briefly looked very startled from his submerging before the store's defense system cut in and he too vanished.
The clerk sighed. Maybe he should just go ahead and close early.
"Hold Peasant! The Blue Thunder glorifies your shop with his presence."
Yup, definitely should close early.
"Huh, pets, what?" Ranma found himself being guided to the street by his skunk and bunny, each of whom were carrying bags of supplies. "What do you mean pets?!"
"You'd best take care of your puppy when you get home, sir. She'll be going into heat shortly," the clerk called out as Ranma was being dragged from the store.
"Heat?! Should I pick up ice? Hey, wait!"
The clerk shook his head. Nabiki had shown up a few hours ago, trying to keep from turning completely into a little kitten after eating that Spells R Us Kit Kat bar. The four footed, and not the anthropomorphic kind.
Now she was a nice anthropomorph owned by Ranma as well. She'd make an interesting addition.
The bell tinkled and the clerk greeted the newest visitor, and on finding the connection to Ranma Saotome mentally put this new one in the zoo crew that Ranma seemed to be developing. Well, it was certainly odd but Saotome might be starting a petting zoo. One Lord over in England had one. That sort of thing was acceptable, otherwise the affections were stretched too thin.
