"Oh yes, perhaps..," began Kasumi.
"Is there a problem?"
"You see, I have this note from my sister," the eldest Tendo as she passed said paper to the clerk, "And I can read that she was coming here, but I can't make out the rest..."
'I'm surpised that you could make out that much,' thought the clerk as she scanned the scribbled note. "What is your sister's name?"
"Nabiki Tendo."
"Won't be a second," the clerk told her making a to-do over checking the computer, "Here we are. 'Nabiki'... Looks like she ate a piece of magic candy."
"Oh my. What happened?"
"She was in danger of turning into a house cat, so she came here to keep from turning into a kitten completely. We've done that, along with training and registering her to all the proper authorities."
"You mean that she's... someone's pet?"
"Exactly. Owner's named Ranma Saotome."
"Ranma's her owner?"
"Yup."
"Can't you turn her back?"
"No, I'm sorry but we can't. Is there anything else you'd like to know?"
The eldest Tedno bit her lip. "Well, I think that I should:
