Vengeance: Dark Wildness [Episode 90229]

What might have suprised some people as Ranma Saotome stood on the edge of the rooftop was what he was wishing for. He wanted to get bashed by a fiancee, to get yelled at by someone, to be pushed around. He wished to whatever dieties were listening that he could have things the way they had been for so long.

Because that would mean that the people that he cared about were alive.

But they weren't and hadn't been for a while now.

He was the only survivor, and it had been sheer luck that he had managed to stay in the world of the living. However, that world was now cloaked in shadow as much as he could see, and happiness was a long forgotten thing. That had died that sunny day when his life had been irrevocably destroyed as others were taken. It had been the end of his innocence, and he knew that nothing would ever bring that back.

The worst thing was he hadn't been able to stop it. Their ends had come so quickly, and without any attempt to let them fight back that they had been gone before he could react. His failure still rode heavily on his heart, but he wasn't about to push it off. It had been his inability to protect them that had allowed them to die, and he would never forgive himself.

Yet, he could still do one thing for them.

He could avenge them.

Until he had, he could not rest, and would not think of doing so.

Somehwere out there was the slayer of his family and friends, and he wouldn't stop until they paid for what they had done.
