As far as Ranma was concerned, he had no other reason to exist, as he had nothing else to worry about. Everything he had known was gone, and the little he had left from those innocent times was cold comfort. Gone was the boy who'd merely let things go, and in his place was a dedicated man who had one goal in life. He was so focused on that one end that he was never about to consider what he'd do after he succeeded, and failure was never an option.

Just as the attack that had taken them from him had been. It had come out of nowhere, and been so quick that he'd had no time to realise what was going on before it was too late.

But he wasn't about to fail again, and his hand tightened into a fist as he considered the fact that his prey was somewhere out there.
