For A Birthday: The Key Ingredient [Episode 90474]

Well, she might have her own agenda, but if anyone had an answer it would be her.

Ranma walked into the Nekohanten and held up the Key. "Hey Old Ghoul, what can you mrph?!"

"Put that away," hissed Cologne, taking her staff out of Ranma's mouth. "Did anyone see you arrive with that?"

"No," said Ranma, thinking this did indeed look promising. He tucked the brass Key back in his shirt. "So ya know what it is?"

"Yes, indeed," said Cologne. "We can't speak of it here though. Not now. Too many ears that might hear. Come back after we close at seven."

"Uh huh," said Ranma, noting something else. Cologne was scared and weirded out. THAT was very heavily concerning. He'd expect the Old Ghoul to face Godzilla with only a raised eyebrow or something.

"I felt the presence earlier, but I'd hoped and prayed that it wasn't what I thought it was," said Cologne.

Ranma nodded and swallowed. The Old Ghoul was praying. This did not bode well.

Ranma left and came back after dinner. He only had to wait briefly before the Old Ghoul let him in to a strangely empty restaurant.

• Ranma's alone. No way was he gonna show this thing around.
• Ranma is not alone. He got to talking and nobody could believe him.
• As #2, but seeing Cologne examine the Key and then hitting the hard liquor and looking frightened - normal reactions to this newest insanity are put aside for panic.
• Something else
