What the Time Guardian didn't realize, or at least hadn't yet, was that in addition to forming defenses if not an immunity against whatever had killed him, Ranma also learned the attack (if it was an attack). Thus, in killing him with her Dead Scream, she had taught it to him.

Sure enough, the next day...

"Dead Scream!" The energy blast rocketed out of Ranma's cupped hands. Caught off-guard, his father only barely dodged it. The attack smashed into and through a large tree at the edge of the clearing they were in.

"Where did you learn that attack, boy?" Genma was amazed, and more than a little scared. Ranma was only a child! He should be years from being able to fire his ki! And yet, there it had been.

The only response was the same attack phrase. And again, Genma dodged.

::This must be a sign::, Genma thought. ::Yes! Harsher training! If he's making ki blasts at six, by sixteen he'll be a GOD!:: Genma's face lit up in a maniacal grin. ::Think of the MONEY he'll bring in! I'll, err, WE'll be set for life!::

As Ranma continued to fire Dead Scream after Dead Scream, his father moved in closer, eventually getting behind Ranma and knocking him unconscious with a pressure point.

And at the Gates of Time, Sailor Pluto screeched and wailed like a spoiled child and beat the floor with the Time Staff.
