But as he got into a dark and dense forest, she saw her chance. He'd be the only person around, and he wasn't in a state to register anything. Which made it perfect for her needs.
So she went there, and took up a position along the line where she knew that he would be. Only a moment would be needed, and even he wouldn't be able to react in time.
And just as he came out into her line of sight... "Dead Scream!"
The ball of mana streaked out from her Time Staff and hit him dead on, sending him flying back from it. His body hit the ground hard, and didn't stir when it did. His form stayed still where it lay, the attack having done its job.
Relieved at having succeeded, she transported back to the Time Gates, sure in the belief that she had saved Crystal Tokyo. It had meant that she had been forced to slay one boy, but in the end, she had no other choice. Now she could allow herself to feel regret as she wished that there had been another way. But she knew as she looked in on him that she had no other choice.
The only problem was that she was seeing his father standing over him, yelling at him for being a 'lazy boy'...
And the boy in question was answering him!
Her fingers tightened around the Time Staff as she realised that he was still alive. Which shouldn't have been possible, seeing as he was merely a boy, and nothing else. That blast should have taken him out, but he was acting as if he was merely dirty! An eyebrow twitched as she saw him get up and head back to the campsite, with his father walking behind him, insulting him the whole way.
Since this was unacceptable, she knew she would have to try again, and this time she would succeed. He would not be allowed to threaten the time stream, and would be dealt with much before that. Nothing he could do would stop it, and she was going to make sure that Crystal Tokyo would be safe.
Set upon removing this threat to what she was working so hard for, she decided that it would be best if she:
