Shinji walked down the street. He glanced behind him, then sighed as Asuka turned her head so she was looking away.
Ever since Gym class Asuka had been staring suspiciously at him. If it had just been. . . Whatever had happened when she had collided with him, however no. First he had broken his previous best high jump, then he had jumped higher and edged out Asuka best jump slightly.
'I wonder what Askua's going to do?' He felt a surge of apprehension, which faded into a certainty that he could handle it. 'Huh, I've never handled her before. . .' he thought to himself uncertainly. Then he blinked, realizing that he had walked three steps past the entrance to the building with Misato's apartment.
Pivoting, he half sprinted back to the steps up.
"Something on your mind, Shinji?" Asuka asked as she walked up the steps one step behind him.
"Um, something like that. . ." Shinji responded weakly.
