Sailor Pluto clenched her teeth, pearls of sweat running on her brow, the Time Key staff held tightly in front of her. All her concentration was taken up by her attempt to stabilize the timeline long enough for her to do her job.
No matter how much she tried, she just couldn't get rid of Ranma Saotome and his influence. Each time she peeked at a new alternate timeline, he was there! And most of the time, he had the senshi's counterparts fawning over him, herself included!
This was of course completely unacceptable. For Crystal Tokyo to exist, the sailor senshi's love lives had to be utter failures to push them in Usagi's arms.
Unfortunately, her efforts only delayed the inevitable. Strands of possibilities slipped through her vigil and grew stronger by the minute.
One of them became powerful enough to supplant the others and overwhelm Pluto's stopgap measures. The temporal energy washed over the guardian of time, rewriting reality.
In the new timeline, the Sailor Senshi were still bound by destiny to belong in the same group. They were no longer magical girls though but something else.
Oh, and Ranma Saotome would play a major role in their lives despite Pluto's meddling.
