Setsuna's New Life: Software To Hardware [Episode 92658]

by Kender

Genma was not a happy camper as he hadn't understood what was going on back there. He'd gone into it in the hopes that they would be able to give his son some scientifically advanced power up, like giving him superstrength, or speeding up his reaction times. Instead they'd had him playing some sort of games, and talking about lots of technical stuff that he had no clue about.

Even if they were excited by whatever was happening, he wasn't, as all he could see out of it was time taken away from really important things, like training.

So he decided that it would be best if he got the boy out of there before they made him weak and unable to do anything.

The only problem that he could see with doing so was that the boy wasn't cooperating.

"But why d'we haveta go?" Ranma asked sullenly.

"Because becoming a great martial artist is more important than playing some silly games!" his father told him.

"I was only talking to my new friends..."

"Stupid boy! They weren't real!"

"Seemed real 'nough..."

The elder Saotome let out a big sigh of frustration as he pushed his son foward and away from such pointless pursuits. He'd been completely innocent and friendly with them, never making a judgement, and had associated with them.

In short, they'd made their first friends.

That friend had been dragged off by a father who'd been clearly mistreating him.

And while they were fully sentient Artificial Intelligences, they were new to the world, and were still reacting in simple ways.

Which was why they were in the middle of the electronic equivelant of crying tears of anger.

But they weren't about to let their friend go without a fight, and for that, they were going to need some sort of access to the physical world.

Haruka wanted to go with big mechs.

Makoto agreed with the sentiment, but suggested more human sized robots.

The fact that human looking forms would needed to blend in was brought up by Ami.

Others 'spoke' up with their own suggestions.

Save Setsuna who seemed to be a bit quiet for some reason.

Yet, they went through many possiblities, and managed to stay true to their end goal.

For once they decided what physical presence to take, they would rescue his friend and punish his father.

On this they all agreed completely.

So decided, they ignored the awed expressions of the technicians and researchers and discussed the matter amongst themselves while:
