???Ken: Bringing down the house [Episode 93461]

by Kestral

Ranma had been well and truly taught by Genma since the disappearance of those girls.

Only the Art was to be trusted. Once betrayed always betrayed. Women were nothing but trouble. You had to be strong to live your own life. The only true friendships are those forged in battle. Anything can be martial arts training. Fighting less than full out is foolish.

Genma tried to chastise Ranma and was booted in the head for his trouble.

The two quickly settled into an earnest fight, stopping just short of killing blows. Ranma's training and battles had grown much harsher than what he would have endured originally, and his attitude through most of it had been 'bring it on' without complaint.

Genma had just pulled another mistake out of his bag, and this time he had to defeat Ranma to prove that he was still sensei and still qualified to make Ranma's decisions. A cast iron skillet was thrown, caught, returned, ducked. By sailing through the hole behind Genma - it managed to strike Kasumi who quietly folded.

Anything Goes and anything went. Everything was fair game.

Then there was the explosion as the gas pipe erupted and the shut off failed.

Briefly there was silence, then Ranma shouldered aside the section of wall and threw his old man to the ground. He stopped to check and everyone was alive and accounted for. Good enough. Their own problem for siding with the old man.

Flipping his pigtail behind him, Ranma left without a word. His ties were cut.

Two hours later he was pondering his choices. He decided that he was going to cut with his old man and his old life, and the place to start was:
