Ranma knew none of this of course, and was merely running away from the humanoid incarnation of what he feared most.
Then again, if he had presence of mind to check out the situation... he might have run anyway.
That was because of the fact that the group was joined by a group of elfmaids who were interested in one of the fabled race.
And that wasn't even the last of them.
"The human's heading that way!" called out a voice.
A Delphin looked up from where she had been polishing her sword. "Did you hear that?"
One of her compatriots nodded. "And I saw it too. Looks like he's running from them..."
"Well, that doesn't mean that we can't catch him."
The other Amazon raised a brow. "You planning to see if the stories about human males and bedrooms are true?"
"Even if they aren't completely right, that doesn't matter."
"Why not?"
"If he can keep running like that, he has to have a lot of stamina."
"You're right about that."
"Let's go then!"
Nodding, at her, the group got up and joined in on the chase.
"How's anyone supposed to get any rest," grumped a dwarf as he came out of his cabin. "What's with all this noise? Doesn't anyone have any sort of consideration?"
Just then a human boy ran past him, screaming at the top of his lungs as a group of people chased after him.
"Apparently not. Come back here you lot!"
"Did I just see what I thought I saw?" one young adventurer asked another.
"If you saw a young man being chased by a yelling mob," the other replied, "Yes, you did."
"If they're so intent on catching him... He must have done something! Let's get after him!"
"Okay..."
The kitsune had been relaxing and enjoying the trip as she knew that she would have many opportunities to use her skills.
"AAAAAAAHHHH!!!"
Upon seeing a young human boy running away from a growing number of people, she decided that such a chance wasn't going to have to be waited for. So she followed along.
Besides.., he had a nice rear end.
Having found a private spot, the Lupine guard had leaned back against a wall and was relaxing.
Until a young man missed the doorway, and bumped into her.
"Oops! Sorry! Gotta go!"
Surprised, she let him go as it registered that his hands had braced him during the collision by grabbing onto her chest.
Eyes widening, she pushed herself upright and chased after him.
As he ran to get away from the feline female after his near accident, Ranma felt a chill go down his back.
But as he was too busy to even think, he ignored it and kept on trying to find a safe place while:
