Orre, a brutal wilderness that has broken many humans and Pokemon has been the description of the wilderness. Some of the horror stories of this region came to the mind of the Trainer who was trudging along to the Outskirt Stand.
Coughing a bit, the Trainer muttered, "This is not like any of the other regions. I haven't seen any wild Pokemon."
The Trainer looked at the Outskirt Stand. It looked like someone had taken an old train engine and dropped it in the middle of the desert. The Trainer went into the stand and got four bottles of water and a large meal. Two men stood up and talked to each other.
"Well Folly, we have to get the package to the boss."
"Right, Trudly."
Folly and Trudly left the Outskirt Stand and caused a strangely garbed teen with yellow eyes a bit of delay in entering the stand himself. The guy was wearing black pants; he had a heavy blue overcoat covering his upper torso and arms. The left arm of the coat was thicker and done in red and black. Upon closer examination, the Trainer noticed that it was some sort of metal sleeve that was worn over the coat. A mirror-tinted visor completed the strange ensemble.
"Why doesn't that guy drop from the heat? He has to be roasting wearing something like that," the Trainer whispered with a shake of the head.
As the guy with the metal sleeve entered, the television stopped playing the movie it was showing and a newscast started.
"This a recent report of an explosion in Eclo Canyon. Authorities have found the remains of Team Snagem's base. Team Snagem apparently has vanished. It is unknown what caused the explosion at this time. It is hoped that the team of Pokemon thieves will never be heard from again. This is Newscaster Anca reporting," Anca said.
The television screen went back to playing the movie.
"Team Snagem?" the Trainer muttered. "I wonder how they compared to Team Rocket, Team Aqua, or Team Magma."
The strange guy introduced himself to the owner of the Outskirt Stand as Wes and quickly picked up some supplies and left. Another person dressed like a cowboy without the hat quickly followed him. The Trainer from the other region watched as Wes faced off against the cowboy or rider that was called Wily. Poor Wily got an extreme trouncing from Wes. Wily spoke loud enough for people in the stand to hear.
"Man, you're good. You're really good. You'd have no problems at the Phenac Stadium in Phenac City. Travel due west and you can't miss it."
Wes nodded and boarded a vehicle that looked like a cross between a motorcycle and hovercycle. It also looked like it had been built of spare parts. Judging by the shininess of some of the parts, the vehicle must have been recently put together. The owner of the stand looked at the Trainer and shook his head, as the Trainer paid for the meal.
"You should also head to Phenac City. You can buy a scooter there to help you travel. Trying to walk through Orre is a quick way to get yourself killed."
A couple stood up and paid for their meal and waved the Trainer over.
"Come on, we'll give you a lift to Phenac in the back of our hovertruck," the man said.
"Thanks," The Trainer replied.
