“Crown Princess Sasami Jurai. Prince Tenchi, Katsuhito's grandson, is attending a local university in Japan, and most of the other residents of the house are spending their time there as well. Her father suggested that she could attend lessons, and the Princess decided to obtain a magical education since she was on the planet anyway and was of the appropriate age to begin lessons.” Jarvis' face took on a faint look of distaste as he said the last.
Albus, of course, noticed, “You don't approve?”
Jarvis looked uncomfortable, “The repercussions should anything happen to Crown Princess Sasami while under our care..”
“What he's not telling you is that he, like most Jurains, cannot wield magic. Not the way you do, at least.” Ollivander cut in. Jarvis stared at him in outrage at his revealing of yet another secret, but a single look from Ollivander quelled him.
'Interesting,' thought Dumbledore as he watched this byplay. “You, old friend?”
Ollivander smiled at him, “Yes Albus, I am Jurain as well. While Jurains can wield what you call magic, they can't do so with the same fine control you can achieve with a wand. They can also draw upon more raw power than most wizards could ever hope to muster. It would be like comparing someone using a sling and someone using a cannon. Or painting using a brush as opposed to throwing cans of paint at the canvas.”
“And yet this young lady?”
“Princess Sasami is.. special,” answered Jarvis.
Fudge spoke up at this point, “Yes, yes. Well. I, of course, talked to the Emperor himself and gave him my personal assurance that the utmost care would be taken of his daughter. In fact, Albus, I was thinking that perhaps we could get some special quarters for her and..”
“Yes, thank you Cornelius. I will take your suggestions under advisement. All decisions will be made with the safety, well-being, and happiness of the students in mind.”
“I do believe we are done here. Albus, would you care to accompany me back to my shop? I still have to finish making the Princess' wand. I'm sure that once things have settled a bit you'll have a question or two, as well. Jarvis, Fudge.” The two men made their goodbyes and Ollivander led them out of the Ministry.
