Text-Based 1/2-Yu-Gi-Oh: Whoo!! Free Cards!! (That doesn't come from the Generator!) [Episode 94708]

by Yasanagi

"Hey, Ranma! Joey's going to look for someone to duel! You wanna come with us?" asked Tea.

Say: "What about Yugi?"

"He already went off by himself. He said something about figuring out what to do next about this whole Rare Hunter mess," said Joey.

Say: "I need to do some stuff. I'll catch up with you two later."

Your friends nod and walk off into another direction, talking along the way.

I will walk in another direction. Maybe there's a card shop near by that I can browse around.

You actually want to buy cards?

Nah! Just want to know what else could come in handy. Then I can use the generator.

Sounds like a good plan. You keep walking until a strange feeling tugs you into another direction.

Let's follow this feeling.

You go into the other direction until you see a body lying on the floor in front of another cafe. People kept on walking, minding their own business.

Who is that guy? Why doesn't anyone notice him?

That's the Rare Hunter Yugi defeated. Marik is using a special type of spell from his Millennium item to cloak his failed Rare Hunter so that his others may recover the body and the cards that come with it without being noticed.

And the reason I'm not affected?

Your Mad Martial Arts senses give you an extra sense of perception. Marik did not anticipate this and didn't bother strengthening the cloaking spell. Otherwise, it would have been harder for you to find the body with your Mad Martial Arts senses.

Go to body. Examine him.

He's lying face down on the ground. His deck is scattered on the ground and there are a few ripped cards. It's a set of Exodia cards that Yugi ripped up.

Why would he do that? Didn't he lose a set of Exodia cards really early?

This Rare Hunter's cards are marked with a special ink. He could see what he drew next with a special pair of contacts in his eyes. Yugi didn't like that his cards are marked and so rips up a set of Exodia cards.

Check to see if he's alive.

You place a hand to his neck. He still has a pulse but it's abnormal.

Care to tell me what happened? Did Yugi do this?

Actually, Marik did. He punished his own Rare Hunter for losing by sending his mind to the Shadow Realm. This guy is practically brain dead.

In that case...say: "If you don't object to me looking through your cards and taking what I want, please make absolutely no sign!" Wait for 5 seconds and then say: "Thanks!" before looking through deck.

What the hell are you doing?!?

Helping myself to free cards. I don't want to see a good card go to waste. And the ink won't really bug me too much. I'll just rub it off.

You look through the deck. He still has two sets of Exodia, some Swords of Revealing Light, Graceful Charitys, Pot of Greeds and monsters with high defense points. He also had a few copies of Sangan and Witch of the Black Forest. His deck's strategy is to get Exodia out as soon as possible. There are cards that stall for time and cards he uses to draw out his deck faster to obtain all five Exodia cards.
