by Mister-E

The Collector looks at you, hands shaking. “Tell you what!” He says. “Let’s duel! Winner takes Locater Cards AND one of your Exodia sets and five of my cards!”

Ask: What Cards?

He pulls five cards from his binder and shows them to you.

Look at cards.

He holds out five cards. Riryoku (Magic), Gemini Elf (4/1900/900), Dark Magician Girl (6/2000/1700), Injection Fairy Lily (3/400/1500), Royal Decree (Trap). Estimated Value of one Exodia Set: $7.000. Estimated Value of the Collector’s Rare Cards: $6.624.

Almost even.

Indeed.

Save Game.

Overwrite Saved Game?

Yes.

Game Saved

Ask: How many Locator Cards do you have?

He holds the special cards up. “Two.” he answers.

Say: Your cards, my Exodia, and our four Locator Cards. Winner Take All.

He nods. “I agree! Now, we duel!”

The two of you close your binders and get enough distance away from each other. The holo projectors shoot out as a crowd gathers around. Both players Life Points are set to 4000 and you each draw five cards.

Ask: The name is Ranma, what’s yours?

“I am Florence Alexander the Forth. I prefer Alex however.” He gives an exaggerated bow. “Now, I await your first move.”

Since you have the first move you draw one card.

Look at hand.

You have six cards, Spirit Reaper (3/300/200), Nightmare Horse (2/500/400), Y-Dragon Head (4/1500/1600), Fairy’s Hand Mirror (Trap), Monster Reborn (Magic), and Shining Angel (4/1400/800).

Excuse me. Why the fuck do I have a mirror in my deck?

Fairy’s Hand Mirror lets you redirect any targeted magic card and make it target another monster. For example, if he used a card to boost his monster you could make it boost yours.

Sweet. Summon Spirit Reaper in defense mode. Set Fairy’s Hand Mirror face down. End Turn.

You set Fairy’s Hand Mirror face down. You then play Spirit Reaper in defense mode, a bony cloaked monster holding a scythe. You end your turn.

Alex draws a card and gives off a huff. “A monster that weak shall be taken care of easily. I summon Neo The Magic Swordsman, a card valued at one hundred four dollars.”

He summons Neo The Magic Swordsman, a blond haired man in amour with a glowing sword. (4/1700/1000)

“Neo, destroy that Reaper.”

Neo The Magic Swordsman attacks you Reaper. Once his sword connects the Reaper’s bones fall to pieces on the ground, his cloak and scythe landing on the ground as well.

“As you can see, having such a weak monster in you deck is a... What in the...?”

He stops as he sees the Reaper’s bones shake. They reattach to each other as it’s scythe raises back into it’s hand and it’s cloak cover’s it’s frame again.

What happened?

Spirit Reaper can’t be destroyed in battle, no matter what. If it’s targeted by any effect though, it’s gone. It also forces your opponent to discard a card at random when it does life point damage.

Sweet. Say: What were you saying about my Reaper?

Alex stops gawking at you and looks at his hand. “I end my turn for now.”

It is your turn. You draw one card, Slate Warrior. (4/1900/400)

Summon Slate Warrior in attack mode and destroy Neo.

You summon you slate warrior, a blue skinned creature with golden amour. Alex’s jaw drop as he sees it.

“Slate Warrior, estimated value of seven hundred and thirty dollars!”

Jeeze, I'm dueling a geek.

I noticed. Your Slate Warrior charges forward and smashes his/her/it’s/whatever fist into Neo, destroying him instantly.

Alex’s Life Points are now 3800.

Switch Spirit Reaper to attack mode. Attack directly with Spirit Reaper. Then explain effect.

You turn your Reaper into attack mode and order it to attack. It flies at Alex slicing at him with it’s blade. “And now that my Reaper has damaged you, you must discard one card from your hand.”

Alex discards a card chosen randomly leaving him with four cards. Alex’s Life Points are now 3500.

End Turn.

Your turn is over. Alex draws a new card to his hand.
