That Sucks.
You return to you spot as he plays his card. “And with a value of four-hundred...”
“QUIT IT ALREADY!” Someone from the crowd yells.
Alex sighs. “Anyway. I can now summon Magical Marionette in attack mode.”
His monster comes to the field, a metallic puppeteer with strings attached to a wooden doll that would look normal save the two large blades it wields. (5/2000/1000)
“Next, I play the Pot of Greed which lets me draw two cards. And not only that, my Marionette’s ability lets her gain two hundred attack points for every magic card played, like my Pot of Greed.” Alex draws two cards as his monster’s attack increases. (2200)
Damn. It’s still my turn though, destroy his defense monster with Slate Warrior.
No defense?
Don’t worry.
OK. Your Slate Warrior charges, slamming his defense card, which flickers as a treasure chest with a big tongue before vanishing.
End Turn.
Your turn is over. Alex draws one card. “Now, Magical Marionette, attack Slate Warrior!”
The puppeteer guides it’s doll forward and strikes your Slate Warrior, destroying it.
Your Life Points are now 3700.
Alex ends his turn. You draw one card, X-Head Cannon.
Just my ticket! Switch Reaper on the Nightmare to attack mode and summon X-Head Cannon.
What?
Do it!
OK. You summon X-Head Cannon, a mechanic upper torso with two large arms and powerful cannons in each shoulder, to the field and switch Reaper on the Nightmare into attack mode. Alex grins. “You monster can’t beat my Marionette!”
Say: Thanks to fact your monster destroyed Slate Warrior I can! Any monster that destroys it loses 500 attack points!
Slick! Alex barely bats an eyelash. “Then I activate my face down magic card, Malevolent Nuzzler. It boosts my monster 700 points! (2900) In addition to Marionette’s own effect! (3100)
Activate Fairy’s Hand Mirror, move Malevolent Nuzzler to X-Head Cannon.
See? The Mirror IS useful! “I activate Fairy’s Hand Mirror, which lets me move your magic card to my monster!” Alex looks slight worried as his monster drops in power (2400) and yours gains power. (2500) X-Head Cannon’s shoulder mounted cannons unleash a burst of power to obliterate Marionette.
Alex’s Life Points are now 3400.
Attack directly with Reaper on the Nightmare.
Reaper on the Nightmare charges forward, bringing his scythe down on Alex. He’s forced to discard another card, leaving him with two cards.
Alex’s Life Points are now 2600.
Good job so far.
End Turn.
Alex draws a new card. “I play Prevent Rat in defense mode! Then I play De-Spell, to destroy Malevolent Nuzzler.” Your X-Head Cannon goes back to it’s normal attack. (1800) “Lastly I place my last card face down. He ends his turn.
Damn. His Rat’s too sturdy to destroy.
Not really.
Huh? Oh well. You draw one card, Kanan The Swords Mistress (4/1400/1400)
Sweetness. Look at hand.
You have four cards, Y-Dragon Head (4/1500/1600), Monster Reborn (Magic), Shining Angel (4/1400/800) and Kanan The Swords Mistress (4/1400/1400)
Time to box him in! Play Y-Dragon Head and fuse with X-Cannon Head.
Got it. You summon Y-Dragon Head to the field. “Now, X and Y! Combine!” You call out. The X-Head Cannon flies over the Y-Dragon Head. It drops down to attach to the middle back of Y-Dragon Head, creating the XY-Dragon Cannon (6/2200/1900).
Attack with XY-Dagon Cannon, then with Reaper on the Nightmare Directly.
Your XY-Dragon Head powers up for an attack as Alex activates his face down card. “I play Chorus of Sanctuary, a field magic card that boosts all monster’s defense by 500 points.” He says as the XY-Dragon Cannon fires. The shot hits, but Prevent Rat survives. Due to his high defense strength you take damage.
Your Life Points are now 3400.
Damn! Say: Maybe I can’t destroy your Rat, but my Reaper on the Nightmare can bypass it with it’s effect! Then have Reaper on the Nightmare bypass his monsters and attack directly.
Alex looks worried as your mounted zombie charges past his defense and strikes him hard with the scythe. He has no cards of which to discard.
Alex’s Life Points are now 1800.
End turn.
Your turn is over. Alex draws a new card.
