Ranma and Julia were busy training in the yard as Gina and Brittany played with Gramps Theodore supposed to be watching, he was at this point to where to be found. Gina took just a moment to look at a particularly interesting sample of what she thought was a rare butterfly, and Brittany crawled out of sight.
At this moment Bast intentionally had called the were-cheetah to her, or rather into the general direction of Felicia. "Now with my charms of attraction and beauty towards Ranma is working this will be perrfect." Bast thought to herself. She didn't think it was necessary to include the fact that she also gave Felicia a fertility charm as well, but that wasn't needed for just getting the two together.
Ranma and Julia took a break to check to see where the kids where at the moment. Ranma's jaw dropped for a moment as he noticed that his 'daughter' was no where to be found. "Oh shit." Ranma thought to himself. "BRITTANY!!" He yelled as he looked around without any idea where she had gotten off to. He was going to give that old fart a pounding the likes of which he had never imagined when he found him, but Brittany took priority at the moment so righteous furry would have to wait.
Without any idea where that 'Bast' person had gotten to, Felicia decided that she should try to find this Ranma person and make a good first impression with him and Brittany. "I wonder if she really is as cute as Bast said." Felicia wonders as she walked towards the address that Bast had given her. When all of the sudden, motion of something moving rather quickly on the ground was spotted (pun intended). "Oh why hello there you cute little thing." the cat-girl says as she picks up Brittany in her arms and smiles. At this moment the little were smiled as cutely as humanly (or cheetahly) possible. "Bast was right when she said that you are the cutest little kitten on earth." Felicia smiles back. "Now where is your daddy huh?" Felicia says tilting her head to one side. "Huh, where is your daddy?" Felicia sees the path the girl left on the ground and decided the obvious. "I think that your daddy would be worried sick for you, don't you?" Not wanting this Ranma person to be afraid for the unknown anymore than possible, not good for first impressions, Felicia decided to follow the little baby's trail back to its source.
"I can't believe I let her out of my sight." Ranma says. "Now Ranma don't be too hard on yourself, after all see couldn't have gotten far." Julia says. Ranma was sweating howitzer shells as he looked all over for where the heck his little girl to be. "Um excuse me." A feminine voice said coming from the street side of the yard. "But I think this little kitten is yours." Felicia says lifting the little form of Brittany a little to show her to Ranma. "Oh thank god." Ranma said running to Brittany. "How can I thank you." "Don't worry about it. I couldn't let this little thing be hurt." Felicia says as Ranma takes his first good take of her. "My name is Felicia, what's yours." "Name... um my name... um Ranma my name is. I mean my name is Ranma." Ranma says scratching the back of his head. "Ranma. So your the one Bast told me about." Felicia smiled. "This is perfect. Ranma is absolutely handsome in human form, already likes me, and sees that Brittany likes me. Now the only thing is to see his hybrid form." "Excuse me young lady." A particularly tall red-headed woman said.
After a long time explaining her life-story as one of the, if not the only, cat-girls left on earth, about how Bast asked her to help raise Brittany as Ranma's mate if he would have her (Bast knew that there was no question once the charm took effect), and that she was even willing to pay for her keep (which impressed Julia and Theo), Felicia was officially welcomed as a member of the household.
In heaven Bast was taking it easy for a moment. "Okay Felicia is in place, Ranma is going to marry her and not cause Theo and Julia's divorce, Brittany will actually learn how to sing, not to mention all those Were-Smilodon/cat-person hybrids as younger siblings will teach Brittany responsibility."
Bast sighed as she relaxed on her spacious couch looking at the screen of her new Imax screen, okay so it really was Hal Jordan the Spectre's, but he didn't mind her using it, since he was sitting right next to her next to St. Francis of Assisi and Charles Darwin.
"Messing with natural selection is a pain in the head isn't it?" Spectre asked. "You have no idea." Bast says taking another bottle of Miller Light from the cooler.
