"How long do we need to suck up to those bastards?" growled Uranus. "One of these days..."
"You'll be strong enough one of these days and we can take our leave," said Neptune. "This was your idea."
"I didn't see you complaining," growled Uranus, shifting targets.
"I wasn't complaining, merely pointing out that this wasn't my idea," stated Neptune. "Now we're stuck with it and we have to play our way through. It's not like we can go back."
Uranus nodded. Hard to go back when your race was dead.
The desert bandit prepared her trap.
Slowly she began her approach, speeding up as she covered distance. Soon these newest victims would divest their loot!
A fat middle-aged man and two kids. This would be easy!
She pointed her hand-cannon at them. "All right you lot! Drop all your valuables and I'll let you off easy!"
"We won't let you!" A blonde girl proclaimed.
"Yeah, that's right!" seconded her companion.
She turned and...
drifting sakura petals, pink lighting, little floating hearts. "cute."
The two kids had been ready to fight and now looked puzzled.
"aaaaaahhhhh," screamed the bandit as she ran back to her dune buggy and drove away in a cloud of dust.
The two kids and the old man merely stared.
"What was that?!" demanded the boy.
Slowly the bandit caught her breath again. Darn it! Why did it have to be a cute boy! She fell apart when she saw one - it was her fondest dream to find one of her very own.
Checking herself in the mirror and wiping the thin trail of blood from her nose, she wondered if there would ever be a time when she had one of her very own - a boyfriend for:
