But it gave him an easy explination for what he thought he remembered happening. Being chased and going to that place had to be nothing more than a dream, and he relaxed with the certainty that he'd just drunk enough liquor to give him a wierd set of dreams. He'd only have to open his eyes and he'd be back in the room that he shared with his son, ready for Kasumi to be a good girl and take care of him while he recovered.
So, having complete confidence in his assumption, he opened his eyes, ready to ache until he got back to a normal day of trying to make his son understand that his father knew what was best for him.
He saw the walls of what was clearly a motel room instead.
That meant that his 'dreams' of being chased until he'd found a bar where he'd been simply drinking until multiple guys had wanted to pull him around, which he'd dealt with by drinking whenever he'd been free.
From there things got... hazy...
The sound of a shower shutting off made him realise that it had been on, and out came a bald and goateed man in a robe from the bathroom.
"Well, well, you finally woke up big guy," the other man told him, "Now wasn't that all better than wearing those grimy things?"
Following the man's nod, the portly martial artist looked and saw his gi, covered in stains he couldn't identify in a heap in a corner. That made him notice that he was laying nude on the bed, covered with only a thin sheet over him.
"So.. What do you want to do now?"
Genma screamed like a little girl and dashed out of the room, grabbing his gi as he went, but not opening the door as he went through it.
Leaving behind a rather confused fellow behind. "But nothing happened... I just wanted to help him. Maybe it was something I said."
The Saotome patriarch didn't know that, and was running for the horizion while:
