But right now he was really considering banging his head against the solid surface of his desk.
"What did you say?" he asked, knowing exactly what had been said.
Fuyutsuki gave him a thin smile. "When we destroyed the first android, the MAGI made another, and just to make sure, they made five more after that one. And if we move to try to destroy one of them, work is started on another set."
"I see..."
"In addition, they seem to be advancing as they are created, with the information learnd from the previous ones being put into the following androids."
Pulling himself up, the Supreme Commander of NERV put on a show of stone cold dignity. "What about Doctor Akagi? Why has she not put an end to this?"
"It is her mother the MAGI are based on."
"So?"
"Well, once it was apparently that there were enough androids to protect and care for the child as well as help the... parents, they... decided to involve themselves in the doctor's life."
"They did?"
"Apparently they want her to quit smoking and settle down so that there could be more grandkids," the Vice-Commander informed him, "It's gotten so far that Major Katsuragi had to run to get away from being included in that... suggestion as well."
"That is not supposed to be happening."
"I am aware of that, but every time that we try to do something, we get into more trouble."
'At least Yui isn't getting involved in this,' Gendo thought to himself as he went over what he had to do. There were many, but the ones he was thinking of at the moment were to see the Second and Third Children in person, inform Doctor Akagi of her duties,see what Major Katsuragi could tell him, and to check if things were so far gone that he'd have to activate another clone.
"So sir," Fuyutsuki asked with an air of fatality, "What would you like us to do about it?"
