"Yes, sir. Unfortunately, that's not the worst part." Fuyutsuki was feeling even more nervous. Sure, the initial shock went... fairly smoothly, but what was coming was even worse.
"It's not, is it?" Gendo was slowly developing a facial tick.
"No, sir. A maintanence crew was sent in to attempt to... disable the android. The plan was to show the MAGI that actions of this type would end up being too risky to continue."
"Yes," Murmered Gendo. That sounded like an intelligent plan, well within standard operating procedures. The person who'd come to that decision would have deserved a raise, if only Gendo wasn't sure that terminating the Android had only served to somehow execerbate the situation. "What went wrong with the execution?"
"Nothing, sir," At least at first, Fuyutsuki ammended. "The android was terminated as planned..."
"Well then, what is the problem?" Gendo queried.
Fuyutsuki hesitantly explained what happened after the robot's destruction.
Gendo quietly whimpered. Forget Work. Forget the Master Plan. Forget Human Instrumentality. He really -really- should have bought Oatmeal this morning. Why? Because what had happened was...
