"As you know, Melchior represents the Late Dr. Akagi a scientist, Balthazar represents her as a mother, and Casper as a woman." Fuyutsuki sidetracked, attempting to figure out how to correctly phrase this. He finally settled upon the most direct manner possible.
"Normally, when running simulations the majority can override any dissenting opinions, leaving statistical results over the probability of any one event." Fuyutsuki took a breath; perhaps he wasn't being quite as direct as planned, but he did want to live through this...
"Once the MAGI recieved information of this event they proceeded as normal, generating conflicting predictions and slowly coming to an agreement. Unfortunately, Balthazar had other ideas."
"It appears that this particular aspect of the MAGI felt that Naoko had been somewhat remiss in her parenting of the current Dr. Akagi. It wished, apparently, to make ammends."
Gendo leaned forward slightly, awaiting the blow he felt was coming.
Fuyutsuki continued to hedge around. Stating the truth outright was a little too dangerous. "Balthazar was able to quickly convince Casper of the benefits of this plan. It was only a matter of time before Melchior fell, too."
This was it. He'd have to get to the point, now. Fuyutsuki gathered his courage and continued. "The MAGI have decided to take an interest in the new child. In fact, they've..."
