[Episode 96122] [Episode 96122]What have I done? was all he could think now, a sad frown on his face as he began to close the shop for the night.
Maya entered the Geofront, quickly making her way through the labyrinthine corridors of NERV headquarters in her attempt to find Commander Ikari. Under normal circumstances, she'd never dare come near the man. He was perhaps the most threatening man she'd ever known, a living embodiment of the calousness that she'd come to associate with men. However, now she had no real choice. Some sort of strange mystic had set his sights on the organization, and she knew firsthand that the threat he posed was all too real. She only prayed that the Commander was here tonight.
Fate was on her side this evening, as she saw the Commander with his confedant, Sub-Commander Kozou Fuyutsuki, in the cafeteria, discussing something amongst themselves while eating dinner. Not questioning their late eating habits, Maya quickly ran up to them, clearing her thoat as she did.
"Commander Ikari! Sub-Commander Fuyutsuki!" Maya called out as she sat at the table with them, gazing at the higher-ranked individual intently.
Commander Ikari looked less than amused as he put down his club sandwich sub and looked at his subordinate, his lips pursed tightly in agitation even as his eyes were drawn to her breasts as if by some powerful force. "I trust you have a good reason for interrupting our conversation, lieutenant Ibuki." His voice was deadly serious, giving little outward betrayal of the sudden desire he felt as he looked at his bridge bunny. Fuyutsuki simply looked at Maya with a mix of curiosity and lust, blushing softly as he tried to avert his eyes, the raging hard-on he was experiencing doing little to help him keep composed. He stayed silent, partly out of fear of making a sexist remark.
Maya noted the men's reaction, but dismissed it quickly, chalking it up to the powers she'd been given. "Sir, we've got big trouble," she said bluntly, her eyes cool and hard as she spoke. She concentrated hard, trying to suppress her demonic aura so the men could think of what was going on. "Either we have traitors in our midst, or our best are being used against their will to fight us."
Gendo and Fuyutsuki quickly refocused their clearing minds on what Maya had said, the both silently thankful that their hormones had calmed down. "Explain," Gendo demanded. At that, Maya told them what had happened earlier in the morning, how she had become a succubus, and that she had seen Misato, Shinji and Dr. Akagi at the shop, apparently in league with this strange magician.
Fuyutsuki, his earlier embarrasing situation a memory, cleared his throat and looked at Maya strangely, and Commander Ikari raised an eyebrow, his hands folding together underneath his nose. Neither man looked like they were buying it.
"You mean to tell me," Fuyutsuki began, "That you searched for us, wasting our important time, to tell us a fairy tale?"
"I am not amused," the Commander said coldly. "I do not think you are fit to man the bridge if you are so prone to childish pranks, especially when you're off duty and out of uniform."
"But it's true!" Maya protested. "All of it!" She stood up and slammed her hands to the table, glaring at the two men desperately. "You have to beleive me!"
"Lets go, Fuyutsuki," Gendo announced as he gathered his food and stood up calmly.
"All right, sir," Fuyutsuki agreed, doing the same.
Maya growled inwardly as she saw the two men prepare to leave. They weren't going to believe something that sounded so rediculous. I guess I wouldn't believe it either, Maya thought with a sarcastic grin. Looks like I have to prove it to them.
With that, she cleared her throat and stood straight up, taking a deep breath as she made her decision. Guess I'm more confident after all, Maya thought with a smile as she put her plan into action.
