The 'Okinawan' looking girl nodded as she gave him a bemused look. "The engagement has been moved so that rather than marrying one of Soun Tendo's daughters, you have to marry one of Father's daughters, namely... us."
"One of you?"
"Well... sort of. Belldandy here already has a guy she's really into, and only a brat would think of breaking them up."
Blushing heavily, the middle daughter ducked her head. "Keiichi is just very special..."
"Exactly," the elder sister agreed, "So that means that you're out of the running. But there are still two of us left. I'm Urd and there's Skuld."
"So what you're saying is that my boy has to marry one of you?" Genma asked, looking between the tall girl and the sour looking youngest one.
"Pretty much."
"That's absurd. Tendo would never do such a thing, and if he did, let the Heavens strike at me."
There was a rumble of thunder on the sunny and cloudless day, and then there was a flash as a bolt of lightning arced through a window and struck the older Saotome.
"Ouch..."
"Now, do you understand the situation?" Urd asked the pigtailed boy.
"Uhh... I think so, except..," Ranma replied.
"What?"
"Who exactly am I supposed ta be engaged to?"
