This was Rei Ayanami II, who was identical in some ways to Rei Ayanami III, who had been able to put out an AT Field sufficiently powerful to cut off all interaction down to the subatomic level on one occasion and actually overwhelm the AT Field of another Angel when they'd come into conflict in Terminal Dogma. Though that was in a Evangelion universe.
Chi was related philosophically to an AT Field.
Rei hadn't practiced more than basic combat training in her universe of origin. However she had been practicing two hours of every day since her arrival.
As this was actual combat and not practice, and she was curious, she manifested what would be a powerful AT field in an Evangelion universe and in a martial arts universe...
Shampoo had been wondering why her great grandmother had cautioned her not to try attacking the doll-girl. Okay, the xi fang hadn't been effective on the weird girl, and pressure points seemed to fail more often than they worked, but she wasn't a strong opponent.
BLAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! went a field of cold blue fire around "doll girl".
Fuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmm extended the blue fire into what looked like wing-shaped extensions.
Crunch went the pavement under the doll's feet.
Shampoo considered that dispassionate gaze. She'd set the terms. If doll girl was an obstacle - obstacle is for killing. Here was doll girl throwing off enough chi that Shampoo could feel it pushing at her despite the distance between them.
"Shampoo not afraid," lied Shampoo. "Doll girl want be obstacle, Shampoo kill."
"For the hand and assorted body parts of Ranma then," agreed Rei.
"Uhm, waitaminute, guys, this is getting way too serious," tried Ranma. "Can't we all be friends?"
