Giving it a few shakes to get the feel of it, he muttered, "Comfortable feel. It should do."
Picking up some tools that Dr. Lang loaned him, he started working on the grip. He soon had some electronics installed and was about to put some yellow crystals in, when he felt a presence.
Straightening up, he turned as a knock sounded on the door.
"Come in, Rick."
Rick Hunter entered the Anakin's room. Instead of the civilian clothes he normally wore, he was now wearing the military garb of a Veritech pilot. Anakin noticed that Rick's uniform had a red trim to it., instead of the normal trim.
Anakin asked, "Did they make you an officer already?"
Rick blinked. "Huh? Oh. The color trim. No. UN Spacy allows their pilots to have a personal color choice in regards to their uniform trim. Most of the pilots have the same favorite color."
Anakin nodded. "I see. Fitting, I suppose."
"Sensei?"
Anakin picked up his old lightsaber and handed it to Rick. "Until you learn how to build your own, this should suffice."
Rick looked at the lightsaber and then at Anakin. "But, this is yours."
Anakin shook his helmeted head. "I'm making a new lightsaber for myself. That one is a part of my life that I no longer want a part of."
Rick nodded. "I understand partly."
"I will tell you the whole story about me, soon. I'm trying to find the words, so I don't fall into anger or despair while telling it."
Rick bowed his head and left. "Thank you, Sensei."
Anakin, even through the respirator, let out a long sigh. "Soon, Rick. I will tell you about my section of space and why I'm infamous in it. At least my old ligghtsaber went to someone who won't mind the color red."
The former Sith Lord returned to his project and finished his project. He weighed the device in his hand. After a moment, he gripped it tightly. An electrical hum was heard, as a canary yellow blade of energy appeared from the modified motorcycle grip.
"I really should do something about my clothes. Maybe I could see if Dr. Lang has any ideas about my condition."
